2011 Update

A happy new year to all. It’s been a few months since the last update but that isn’t to say that things haven’t been happening.

First and foremost, we are sad to say that Evan and Shane have left Woe. I think that not addressing it would be disrespectful but if they want this note removed, I will certainly do so. Nobody is going to go into detail about it so please respect everyone’s privacy and don’t ask. While I cannot and do not claim to speak for them, I have nothing but positive memories of the fantastic shows we played together to say nothing of the phenomenally-received recent album. They will continue with The Green Evening Requiem and recent Earache Records-signees Woods of Ypres (who were recently announced as a headliner for Heart of Winter Fest in Richmond, VA this coming February) so expect to hear a lot from them.

And we soldier on. While the newest album may have been released a mere four months ago, the recording is about six months old and the songs are mostly a year or more old, so… I’m ready to fucking go. The framework for some new songs has been laid and a general tone for an album is taking shape.

On the live front, with some new and old faces among our ranks, we will be appearing at Scion Fest on the first Saturday of March and touring the West Coast for seven additional shows the week after. Scion Fest tickets are free but registration has been filled. If you can’t register in time, we might still be able to get you in, just shoot an email over to woeunhholy-AT-gmail-DOT-com. Full west coast tour dates will be posted as soon as they are finalized. For those back east, we will be playing Macrock in Harrisonburg, VA on April 1 along with Withered, US Christmas, Inter Arma, and more. Info at http://mackrock.org

And there is the Readers Digest version of Woe news. Thank you to everyone who supported Woe throughout 2010, looking forward to seeing you all in 2011.
